My every action from my first day as President has been guided by the understanding that I am the President of all Bulgarian citizens. Without distinction of ethnic origin, religion, age, place of residence. Regardless of whether they voted for me or still vehemently reject me. |

“If the first round is a race and choice between personalities, the vote on October 29th is an original referendum on the way the nation will develop over the next years – whether we will go back to the times of discords, malice, and opposing as an end in itself, or we will prove that we can be united in this crucial moment for us, for our children, and for the nation. That is why the choice now is between adventure and reason”, President Georgi Parvanov said in his concluding address to the Bulgarian voters in the eve of the run-off vote on Sunday.
